Sokos is a Finnish chain of department stores. The home of their Helsinki flagship store is a protected Modernist 1950’s building and a local landmark. We undertook the significant transformation of this store over a two year period, successfully reviving the Sokos brand and repositioning the store with a new focus on fashion and lifestyle. We created a total retail experience, from external signage to a dramatic atrium space and six floors of themed retail. All within a considered restoration of the historic interior.
